As part of the organizational restructuring in conjunction with the Deregulation of University Act, the College was reorganized into the Center for General Studies.
1998
April
In response to the changing social needs and the requirements for a more integrated education process of all the schools, and in order to effectively provide basic education and liberal arts education programs, the Center for General Studies was reorganized into the following three centers and one section: Center for Basic Science, Center for Basic Education, Center for Physical/Certification Education, and Humanities and Social Sciences Section . In April 2001, the Humanities and Social Sciences Section became part of the Center for Basic Education.
2003
April
In order to implement a more effective integration of the basic education program at our university, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences was re-established as an umbrella organization integrating all centers. The Center for Natural Sciences, the Center for Human and Social Sciences and the Center for Liberal Arts all became part of the college.
