Practical Research Gives Birth to a New Brand of Wholesome Beef

As part of its research into animal husbandry and environment preservation, the Yakumo Experimental Farm at the School of Veterinary Medicine (Hokkaido) produces beef from cattle raised solely on grass from the farm’s pastures (resulting in 100% fodder self-sufficiency).
This healthy lean meat, known as Kitasato Yakumo Beef, has very little fat and is shipped as cut or processed meat, as well as contributing to patients’ diets at the affiliated hospitals.
