【MEXT Scholarship for 2022 (Embassy Recommendation)】Application for “Letter of Provisional Acceptance”
Candidates who wish to enter Kitasato University as a MEXT scholarship student should apply for the “Letter of Provisional Acceptance” after passing the first screening conducted by the Japanese diplomatic mission in their country.
To apply for the “Letter of Provisional Acceptance”, please send us the following documents by email.
１．Application form for 'Letter of Provisional Acceptance' on MEXT Scholarship Program (Downloadable from here(13KB))
２．Copy of a passing certificate of the first screening issued by the Japanese diplomatic mission
３．A set of copies of the following documents submitted to the Japanese diplomatic mission that has been stamped by the mission.
- Application Form *attached with photo
- Field of Study and Research Plan
- Academic transcript for all academic year of university attended
- Certificate of graduation or degree certificate of the university attended
- Recommendation letter from the president/dean or the academic adviser at the current or last university attended
- Abstracts of theses (*Only if submitted to the Japanese diplomatic mission)
- Certificate of language proficiency (*Only if submitted to the Japanese diplomatic mission)
- Recommendation letter from the present employer (*Only if submitted to the Japanese diplomatic mission)
To apply for the “Letter of Provisional Acceptance”, please send us the following documents by email.

<Important Notes>
■Each document must have the confirmation stamp of the Japanese diplomatic mission, and all lettering and photographs are clear and legible.
■Please send All documents by email; however, if it is difficult for you to access the internet, we will accept those by postal mail.
When you send the documents via postal mail, we will not return your documents.
■We do not accept your application after the deadline, August 27th, 2021 in Japan time.
(As for Chinese students selected through Chinese Embassy Recommendation (中国赴日本国留学生), the deadline is August 27th, 2021 as well.)
■Please be aware that Kitasato University will be closed from August 7th to August 15th for a summer recess, therefore we cannot process the documents and queries during that period.
■Please be advised that the process of your document evaluation at our university will take a certain period.
■Please send All documents by email; however, if it is difficult for you to access the internet, we will accept those by postal mail.
