Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)

 JASSO offers "Category 1 loans (interest free)" and "Category 2 loans (with interest after graduation)". At the Graduate School of Infection Control Sciences, a total of 107 students received these loans by 2011.

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (Research Fellowship for Young
Scientists)

 Since the foundation of the Graduate School of Infection Control Sciences, a total of 11 students, including students who have completed the doctoral program, have received the Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (doctoral fellowship 1 (DC1), DC 2, postdoc fellowship (PD), and superlative postdoc fellowship (SPD).

Kitasato University Scholarship and Student Loan

  • Kitasato University Scholarship
     This scholarship does not require repayment.

  • Kitasato University Student Loan
     This student loan requires repayment to the full amount in monthly or annual installments from one year after students have completed their courses.

Extended Study period for the Completion of Studies

 This system allows students taking the doctoral program, who have difficulty devoting sufficient time to their studies due to employment, to set their study period for completing their courses to a maximum of five years.

Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant

  • Teaching Assistant (TA)
     The teaching assistant (TA) system is offered to facilitate education and research at the graduate school as well as undergraduate education, and to foster young researchers.
    It is available to registered students taking the doctoral program.

  • Research Assistant (RA)
     The research assistant (RA) system is offered to effectively promote research activities, facilitate students’ research capacity, and foster young researchers' skills to conduct research.
     It is available to registered students taking the doctoral program. As research assistants, they shall participate in research funded by public research funds and funds for commissioned research at Kitasato Institute for Life Sciences and other facilities.
