Education Program

Mater's Program

　Shortly after entering, all students will take a basic technical training seminar, which provides lectures aimed at acquainting students with basic experimental techniques for special research. Furthermore, our courses feature a series of special lectures on the latest findings in infection control science given by professors of major subjects in an omnibus format.
　In addition, our courses feature classes within the other graduate schools of Kitasato University for subjects related to the majors. By providing specialized knowledge in various fields of study, this program is designed to foster skills to detect and solve problems with a comprehensive perspective.
　This program is comprised of two courses: the Infection Control and Immunology course and the Drug Discovery Sciences course.
　The main subjects provided in each course are listed below.

  • Infection Control and Immunology course
    Special fields of Study:
    Vaccinology I, Molecular Virology I, Molecular Microbiology I, Pathogenic Microbiology I, and Infectious Diseases Sciences I.

  • Drug Discovery Sciences course
    Special fields of Study:
    Microbial Chemistry I, Bioorganic Chemistry I, Applied Science of Herbal Medicines I, Molecular Cellular Biology I, and Microbial Functions I.

Doctoral Program

　Shortly after entering, students will attend briefing sessions on the computer network and library use, as well as a safety seminar (on the handling of chemical substances and microbes).
People who have not taken the master's program offered by the Graduate School of Infection Control Sciences can take a special seminar (basic technical training seminar).

　This program is comprised of two courses: the Infection Control and Immunology course and the Drug Discovery Sciences course.。
